“Next generation at its finest 👌”

Tamariki from Te Kapa Haka o Te have gone viral for their incredible talent during a haka and waiata following this year's Te Mana Kuratahi in Nelson last week.

The kapa placed second in this year's competition with a magnificent and uplifting performance.

Following the kapa haka comp, a clip was posted by @youruncle403 to TikTok where it has been viewed over 106k times and has 12k likes.

The perfect blend of voices during the waiata left our whole office in chills.

The rōpū also gained a viral status for a spine-tingling haka performed after they competed.

The mana of the group is palpable, and many flooded the comments giving shout-outs to the “next generation”.

“next generation at its finest 👌,” one proud fan wrote.

Another agreed: “LIVINGGG for the next-gen of Māori!”

“The two rangatira in the front are going to be a fierce duo, Tu Maori, Tu Rangatira, Tu Tangata,” a third wrote.

It looks like the youngins are full of powerful talent, as another young girl went viral for singing a classic Te Reo waiata with her māmā

And surely you’ve come across the amazing Latiyah, who has had multiple viral videos on TikTok.

One of her first viral clips was showing off her amazing voice and expressive kapa haka moves, while her dad played the guitar.
