Kiwi director Taika Waititi had the most hilarious reaction to winning the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Visual Media Grammy award. He admitted that he hardly even remembered making Jojo Rabbit.
He said during his speech,
"I guess they're just giving Grammys to anyone now... I'll take it! Thank you!"
"Thank you very much for this honour,"
"What can I say? It was so long ago, I can barely remember anything about making that movie, but it seems like it's never going to go away, and I'm happy with that."
Taika was incredibly humble in his acceptance speech and we're sure we'd act the same. He's incredibly happy with his win and we're happy for him. Congratulations Taika Waititi you're making us in Aotearoa incredibly proud.
