This morning, Jordan announced to the Mai whānau that today is his last day at Mai FM.

"I thought I was going to be around for a while and I wanted to be around for a while. But life is life" Jordan said as he announced the news.

"But I've had the best time of my life working in the station. And when I started radio, what I wanted most was I wanted to I wanted someone to speak to the things that I felt deeply.

And part of that was, that I think an audience, as they go through emotions and feelings, I wanted to bring that to radio.

I wanted us to laugh. I wanted us to think. I wanted us to feel. I wanted us to have thought-provoking conversations. I wanted us to have the most silliest conversations. And I think in my time here, I've really tried to do that. And I think my for the opportunity to have done that."

Jordan went on to say " thank you to the Mai whānau from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be someone that you listen to in the mornings. I hope I haven't annoyed you guys too much, but yeah, just. Thank you for everything and thank you for my time here."

Saying goodbye, Brook said "you to me are the people's champion. You sat in that seat extremely well and you should be proud of what you've done over these last couple of years."

Tegan went on to say "it's been really amazing and really important for me in my growth in the last couple of years, having someone like you there because [you've] challenged me so much.

I've never actually had like a relationship with someone who, who's challenged me so much and made me a better person."

We're sad to say goodbye  Jordan, but thank you for all the laughs and everything you've brought to our whānau, we can't wait to see what's next in your future.
