Māori Television’s Jessica Tyson was crowned Miss World New Zealand!

What's Fresh 07/05/2018

We're so stoked for Māori Television reporter Jessica Tyson who was just crowned Miss World New Zealand for 2018.

Jessica was crowned at the SkyCity Convention Centre on Saturday night.

Jess is the co-presenter for Rereātea, Māori Television's online midday news bulletin and started at Māori Television last year on Te Kāea.

She also took to Instagram to congratulate Miss World NZ 2017, Annie Evans. She expressed how amazing it was to watch her journey over the past two years:

From seeing you first perform on stage at Miss Auckland to becoming Miss World NZ and then being our first NZ representative to win the Oceania title at Miss World.

We're all so happy for Jessica and can't wait to see what she will do next.
