You've just been given a present, you've unwrapped it and you either don't like it or already have whatever was given to you.
So what to do next? You don't want the present to go to waste. Then how about re-gift? Of course you want to make sure you do it right so you don't get caught, so not to worry, we've got your back and have come up with a list to help you out.
So here it is, 5 ways to re-gift without getting caught.
1. Label the gift
Label the gift with a post-it note with the name of the person who gave it to you + if there were others around when you opened it, put their name on it too. That way you'll avoid re-gifting either to the same person or someone who saw you receive the gift at a later date.
2. Remove the evidence
Make sure you remove the evidence. Say for example if you're also re-using the gift bag the gift came in, make sure you check the bag to ensure there's not a forgotten card addressed to you in the bag.
3. Hold off before you re-gift
If it doesn't have an expiry date, then hold off before re-gifting. It will decrease your chances of getting caught.
4. Don't break the seals
If you're not going to keep the gift, then don't bother opening it. You want it to still look new when you go to re-gift it.
5. Disguise the gift
If it's a small item you can always group it with a bunch of other things like in a gift basket etc.
So there you have it team. Hopefully this should help keep you out of trouble when it comes to re-gifting. Happy re-gifting!
