Back when Riverdale was announced that it was going to be a brand new Netflix Show, while we were super proud of kiwi KJ Apa, we couldn't help but admit that it sounded strange.
A TV show based off of a comic from the 1950's? It didn't really scream TV worthy. But when it was released earlier in the year, the adaption paid off and had watchers across the globe hooked from start to finish. And now, the show’s adding in Season 2.
According to Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead Jones, next season of Riverdale will be even darker and stranger than the first.
According to Cole Sprouse, he says that Riverdale is only going to get darker in Season 2.
"I think the whole show is going to be getting darker and stranger. We’re going to be leaning into a lot of those qualities that a lot of people ended up loving in the first couple of episodes — this heavy cinematography, this overbearing coloration, this really dark content that’s kind of over-the-top and campy, but it’s taken very seriously."
Even darker than the first season? I don't know if we can handle... What's darker than murders, suicides, arson, drugs and gangs?
