The first authorised Notorious B.I.G. documentary is being made with the approval and cooperation of the late rapper's estate.
'Notorious B.I.G.: One More Chance' has been announced ahead of the 20th anniversary of the hip-hop icon's March 1997 death.
The New York-born artist, real name Christopher Wallace, was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.
The movie was announced at the Berlin Film Festival on Monday and his mother Voletta Wallace will act as a producer.
"It brings so much joy to my heart that my son Christopher's music has made such an impact on the music community and his stories have positively inspired so many young men and women over the years, and still influencing the youth all over the world today," Ms Wallace said in a statement.
The film is being directed by the Malloy Brothers, the duo behind dozens of notable music videos and White Stripes documentary Under Great White Northern Lights.
