Pineapple chocolate milk has hit the shelves in Aotearoa, and I'm honestly not sure if I'm keen on it.
Lewis Road Creamery has been dropping hints about this release with cryptic pictures of the chocolate milk bottle topped with a yellow lid, driving up excitement and loads of speculation about what the new flavour might be.
We already knew it wasn't gonna be banana 'cause they dropped a Banoffee flavour in their lineup back in 2021.
Some tossed around ideas it could be cheese or corn, which we're stoked it wasn't. But PINEAPPLE? Was that really the move?
Before you jump down my throat, I gotta say, I'm all about shutting down pineapple on pizza – been let down by that tropical fruit too many times already.
Don’t get me wrong, I have been here for every flavour Lewis Road has dished out so far, but I think there’s going to have to be some extra convincing to get me on board this mash-up.
I just can’t wrap my head around the tangy fruit mixed with milk… it just seems wrong.
Not everyone will agree with me; actually, heaps have already commented hyping up the new choccy milk.

“This is gooooood,” said another.
While a third screamed: “CANT WAIT to try this! 🙌🏼.”
But the people I want to keep onside are the ones like this person who wrote: “Nooo!!!”
This isn’t the only fave Kiwi treat that’s gotten a pineapple makeover.
Just earlier this month, Squiggles released a new biscuit filled with fruity filling and chunks of chewy pineapple bits.
I was a bit iffy when these rocked up to the office but was shockingly surprised at the combo.
Thought that might be because one of the Mai crew put it in my head that it tasted more like banana.
Looks like I might have to give this pineapple choccy milk a go and get back to you with my final opinion.
