NBA social media admin posts personal nightclub vids on team's official Snapchat story

not the stanky leg video...

One NBA team's social media manager might have to get a new job soon after accidentally posting a video of their friend dancing in the club to the team's snapchat. Not just any dance either, it was the iconic stanky leg that was accidentally broadcasted to hundreds of thousands of followers.

The Washington Wizards, who have 181k Snapchat followers, hosted the stanky leg on their story.

“I was tryna figure out why it smelt so bad…” the text on the story read. “Jessie out here just doing the stanky leg in public.”

I looked at Washington Wizards’ job listings and, as of now, Jessie’s filming friend seems to be safe as there’s no listing for a social media manager for the team. It would be a truly iconic way to lose your job thought, #worthit.

However, fans of the team think the job will be vacant very soon. A screenshot of the story was posted to the team’s subreddit with the title: “So our social media admin will be getting sacked soon”.

Commenters of the post agree with the title and also appreciate the team - which has not seen much success on the basketball court - finally being relevant again.

“Most eventful wizards news in around a year,” one comment reads.

“One job!” another says. “Wrong phone, bless him. Good luck at the new job.”

“How is everything this organisation does so deeply embarrassing,” a third added.

If the goal of the social media manager is to increase engagement on the team’s accounts, the stanky leg filmer accomplished that.

Washington Wizards’ latest social media posts are jam-packed with comments referencing the stanky leg slip-up.

GIFs of celebrities and sportspeople hitting the stanky leg run rampant in the comments section while other people are asking where Jessie is and what that stench in the Wizards’ stadium is.

We’re yet to know if the social media manager will be needing a new job, but there is one thing we do know: Jessie stank up that dance floor.
