The one thing better than a mean feed? A mean feed that is completely free, and that's exactly what Krispy Kreme is offering today.
Albany Westfield is the latest home of the doughnut giant and anyone who visits them between 9 AM - 6 PM today, Friday the 12th of May, gets a free Original Glazed Donut. You also get a free limited edition Krispy Kreme beanie if you’re one of the first 200 people there, which would be very nice right about now (thanks AKL weather).
Krispy Kreme Australia & New Zealand’s Head of Marketing Aimee Cutajar said that she’s stoked more New Zealanders can now chow down on a doughnut.
“We’re very excited to be able to share the joy of Krispy Kreme with even more Kiwis as we celebrate the opening of our newest Krispy Kreme store in Westfield, Albany,” she shared.
“With our full menu of freshly made doughnuts and shakes available, we’re delighted to welcome Aucklanders in-store for a treat to end the week!”
If you wanna get that free doughnut you better move quickly, Kiwis are known to not only love doughnuts but love loving doughnuts. Take the couples that literally got married at Krispy Kreme earlier this year as an example.
Back on Valentine’s Day 2013, Cimonette and Carl Labuschange spontaneously headed to a beach and eloped, ten years later and still going strong, the self-confessed sweet treat admirers tied the knot at an Auckland Krispy Kreme spot after winning an online competition.
“We’re big doughnut lovers, especially Krispy Kreme,” Cimonette told our Mai FM Home Run team. “Why not add it to the story?"
“It was really awesome, Carl said. “Krispy Kreme gave us an opportunity to get a lovely wedding dress and a nice suit together and so we went the full suit and tie occasion. They had a beautiful wedding car available for us - they really did so much work behind the scenes.”
You don’t have to put a ring on someone at the new Albany location, but you will get a free ring of glazed pastry yumminess.
