NBA players voted on who they'd 'least like to fight' - check out where Steven Adams ranked

"You know you’re going to be covered in bruises after wrestling him"

Not even the biggest and best athletes in the world want to mess with our guy Steven Adams.

Steve came second in a poll, published by The Athletic, asking NBA players: “Who in the league would you least like to fight?”, among other questions. Of the 90 players who answered, 26 voted for Steve.

In first place was James Johnson, a guy with a black belt in karate, a rumoured 20 - 0 kickboxing record, and whose nickname is ‘Bloodsport’. Second place ain’t bad when competing with that.

One player said that no one wants to eff with Steve because he'll get involved in a tussle.

“He loves to wrestle,” the player said. “He’s just tough. You know you’re going to be covered in bruises after wrestling him. Yeah, he’s a tough dude.”

If you’re wondering who that player is, you’re out of luck. The poll was completely anonymous so that players could “respond honestly, without fear of upsetting teammates, opposing players, league officials and even fans.” Good call when asking questions that are pretty much ‘Who are you scared of the most?’.

Honestly, Adams’ placing should come as no surprise to people who have followed what those in the NBA have said about Steve during his decade-long career in the league.

Earlier this year the one and only LeBron James said there’s no one in the league more brawny than the Big Kiwi, calling him “the strongest guy in the NBA”.

One time late last year an errant pass went flying right into Steve’s face and the commentators were more concerned for the ball.

“That didn’t even affect him,” they said. “I think the ball hurt more than Steven Adams.”

Unfortunately, Steve won’t be playing the rest of the NBA season as he’s out with an injury. I guess that’s lucky for any opponents that might be running their mouth a little too much.
