This time around 100% of all the money made from merch sales will go towards Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ)  to help keep Kiwis safe on beaches across the country.

The collection includes a classic Hawaiian shirt, featuring all things KFC, along with fresh summer must-haves, like the iconic pair of Kiwi slides, towelling bucket hats, KFC sunglasses and much more!

‘KFC for Good’s mission is to “champion causes that equip young Kiwi adults with skills and support to enhance their wellbeing” the fried chicken outlet said in a press release.

SLSNZ is a charity and the national association representing 74 Surf Life Saving Clubs across Aotearoa, and over 4500 volunteer Surf Lifeguards who patrol at 92 locations through summer as well as 40 Emergency Call Out Squads throughout the year.

It’s awesome to see KFC fundraising for a super important cause that will help a lot of our Kiwi friends and whānau!

The CEO of SLSNZ, Paul Dalton, thanks KFC for their ongoing support over the last decade with their fundraising efforts as well as sharing their messages of safety throughout the summer.

“KFC’s ongoing contributions have been mission critical in helping SLSNZ support our 74 clubs and thousands of volunteers on the frontline to help keep New Zealanders safe at the beach,” said Dalton.

By the end of summer, KFC intends to reach a total donation of over $150,000 from their summer merch and their efforts at the ‘Black Clash’ cricket match back in January - that’s an epic amount of money raised by us Kiwis for SLSNZ.
