This 6yo amazed his whānau by leading a hearty haka with his dad and uncle at a family wedding

Little man had the little hairs on my arm standing with all that mana!

A young boy is going viral after leading a very special haka with his dad and uncle at a wedding full of friends and whānau.

Posted to Tiktok by @ngamanuputohe, the powerful clip has gained 158k views and 23.9k likes in just under a week.

In the clip, Maddox who is only 6 years old approaches with his dad and uncle to perform a powerful haka.

According to his mum Claresta, who also posted the video to Instagram, Maddox decided that he wanted to perform the haka after his mum gave her heartfelt speech.

“At just 6 years old, his confidence, pride and love for his cultures have grown so much.”

Of course, with that much mana put into his powerful performance, friends and whānau cheered him on and many were brought to tears.

It’s absolutely awesome to see the young lad’s passion for his culture and it’s the taking his shirt off that shows he was going hard for his aunt and uncle's big day!

The comment section was flooded with praise for Maddox with one writing: “THE MANA IN THAT KID, I FEEL IT THRU THE PHONE.”

Another agreed: “That gave me the cold chills. What a little champion.”

A third shared that although "he may be little, the love and pride he has for his cultures is bigger than anything in this world!”

We couldn’t agree more.

Go hard little Maddox - you’re making us here in Aotearoa proud.
