If you haven't heard, one of the greatest rappers to ever do it is going to be live streaming their concert this weekend, here's when and where you can watch it.
Amazon Music announced this morning that they will be live-streaming Kendrick Lamar’s Paris stop of his ‘Mr Morale and the Big Steppers Tour’, which will take place at Accor Stadium. The stream will be available to watch on Amazon Music’s Twitch channel and Prime Video and is set to start at 7 am Sunday the 23rd of October NZ time.
It comes on the tenth anniversary of Kendrick’s second album, the widely celebrated and critically acclaimed ‘Good Kid, m.A.A.d City’ (GKMC), so we’re sure K Dot will put on an absolute show for all his fans around the world.
Tim Hinshaw, the head of R&B and hip-hop for Amazon Music, hints that the show will celebrate both the latest album (Mr Morale and the Big Steppers) and G.K.M.C.
“As a kid from the west side of Compton, hearing ‘Good Kid, m.A.A.d City’ for the first time and seeing Kendrick’s journey from neighbourhood hero to global superstar ignited a fire in me that I’m forever grateful for,” he said, as reported by Variety.
“It showed me that no matter where you start in life, hard work and dedication will put you where you hope and dream to be. Now, 10 years later, it's almost poetic that two kids from the same city with similar, but different dreams have landed in Paris to celebrate not just that record but Kendrick’s latest revolutionary album, ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’.”
Kendrick will wrap up the ‘Mr. Morale’ tour in Tāmaki Makaurau, and Mai FM is proud to be bringing him here. He’ll be doing two shows at Spark Arena on December 16th and 17th.
Tickets to the first show are sold out, but there’s still some left for the second show. Get them now and don’t miss out on seeing one of hip hop’s best ever live and in the flesh. Leshgo!
