Kanye apologises to Kim and admits Sway did, in fact, have the answers in new interview

Almost a decade after the viral moment, Ye finally admits it.

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, recently apologised to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and admitted after almost a decade that Sway did, actually, have the answers.

The Chicago-born superstar talked to Good Morning America about co-parenting with Kim K and his recent legal battles with Adidas and The Gap, even comparing the two situations.

When it comes to Kim, Ye said he’s sorry for any “stress” he may have put on her - which could be about a billion things Ye has done since the couple broke up over the last year and more.

“This is the mother of my children and I apologise for any stress that I have caused, even in my frustration because God calls me to be stronger,” he said.

“But also, ain’t nobody else finna be causing [Kim] no stress either. I need this person to be least stressed and at best sound, mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.”

Ye also addressed his ongoing legal battle with fashion companies The Gap and Adidas. Basically, Ye wants to terminate his brand’s (Yeezy) collaboration with the two brands and sell his products straight to the people, but Gap and Adidas are not letting Ye do so.

Nine years ago radio host Sway told Kanye that he should skip the middle man and “empower yourself and do it yourself”. This led to one of the most viral moments of Kanye’s career (and he has had plenty) when he flipped out and screamed:

“How Sway!? You ain’t got the answers!”

In the interview with Good Morning America an older, more bearded, different-named, (I’d like to say more mature but it’s hard to tell) Ye finally admits that Sway was on to something.

“You know what, I will go ahead and say ‘Sway had the answer’,” Kanye says with a smile creeping over his face.

Kanye also compares the drama with Adidas/The Gap with co-parenting in the interviewing, saying “it was all kind of a disregard for the voice of something that I co-created,” as well as suggesting he is not yet done with politics after running for USA President back in 2020.
