Ty Dolla Sign has teased fans of what's to come soon with his new J. Cole collab "Purple Emoji," a track that came together while Ty was actually recording with Kanye West.
Both 'Ye and Ty were held up at Jungle City recording studios in New York, working on Yeezy's highly anticipated upcoming project Yandhi. While 'Ye was busy in the bottom floors of the recording studio, Ty took over the top:
"And then, just turns out Cole was in the room right next to me," Ty told Zane Lowe in a Beats 1 interview Monday.
"When I saw him I was like, 'Bro, I got something to play you' and he's like 'I got something to play to you' so I went to his studio and heard everything he was working on and then I'm like 'Yo, I just did this one I thought would be crazy for both of us.' So he came in my room, I played it for him immediately, and he did his verse in five minutes."
