Kanye West officially crowned the highest-paid Hip-Hop artist of 2019 by Forbes

Headlines 20/09/2019

It appears as though Kanye West's reputation as one of the Hip-Hop world's most polarising figures translates into equally incredible financial figures with the release of Forbes' 'Highest-Paid Hip-Hop Acts' list for 2019.

The 'Flashing Lights' rapper sits atop the list, despite not releasing any major musical projects this year (yet). Perhaps unsurprisingly, the majority of his earnings can be attributed to the widespread success of his signature clothing and footwear line 'Yeezy.'

The Chicago native brought in a ridiculous $150 million before tax, while Jay-Z sits at No. 2 with $81 million, making it the first time in his career that Kanye earns the title of most paid.

Drake sits at the No. 3 spot on the list, bringing in a hefty $75 million, with Diddy following shortly behind at $70 million, and Travis Scott rounding off the top 5 with $58 million in earnings.
