Yesterday it was announced that rapper and community hero Nipsey hussle was shot and killed outside of his Los Angeles clothing store, he was 33. The hip-hop community has been in mourning for the last 24 hours, with tributes flowing in from all over the world. We can't imagine the pain and hurt Nipsey's family and close friends are going through right now, so we send our most sincere condolences to Nipsey's loved ones.
Kendrick Lamar was amongst those who really felt the impact of Nipsey's death, learning the news just before taking the stage at Lollapalooza Argentina last night. After being informed of the tragic passing, Kendrick chose to hold a short moment of silence as a tribute to the late rapper.
"Before we got on stage, we got wind that our brother, our warrior, our soldier Nipsey Hussle passed away," said Kendrick Lamar. The crowd reacted with shock, instantly dipping in energy before Lamar asked his audience to join him in a moment of silence.
"We wanna take this time-out, truly, to give a moment of silence. Can we do that?"
