The future is here whanau! One of our best and most beloved delicacies is coming to Tamaki Makaurau's CBD. Chef and hāngi connoisseur, Rewi Spraggon, will be dishing up traditional 'in-ground' hāngi on Queens Wharf sevens days a week.
The cafe earns the title of Auckland's first in-ground hāngī café open to the public seven days a week, and will feature traditional hāngi, breakfast wraps, hāngi pies, and gourmet hāngi sandwiches.
Spraggon announced the opening on his Facebook page Hangi Master, where he also announced that there will be a hāngi pit installed outside the shop in a month's time so people can experience the entire process of a traditional hāngī.
So go out and get amongst it whanau and give Auckland's hottest new food spot a go!
