It's been exactly 2 months since the death of rapper Mac Miller shook the music world, and many emotional wounds are still left open for fans and friends alike. Ariana Grande has understandably found it difficult to process his passing, reacting to it on several occasions on social media.
However her most recent comments might be her most heartbreaking, where she offers an insight into her headspace amidst the tragedy. Fans were sending videos of the late rapper to Grande that were retrieved from his live streams, which she then posted.
The "Donald Trump" rapper can be heard listening to hen-unreleased song from Sweetener in the video and while Ari's replies are short, they're remarkably powerful. "His voice and laugh," shared the singer, remembering the good times she spent with him. She then brought a tear to many eyes, writing, "he is supposed to be here." Finally, she thanked the fan who sent in the video.
No one can doubt Grande's resilience, she experienced an incredibly tragic 12 months. But it looks as though the singer is using her music to move forward, after she released a new song "thank u, next" and is dropping an album of the same name.
