The incredible Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o has revealed that after the whirlwind success of Marvel's Black Panther, she flew to Aotearoa to check into a meditation retreat.
In an interview with Porter magazine, Lupita said that after the "passionate" response from fans after the release Black Panther, she scheduled in a 10-day silent retreat at the 'Vipassana meditation centre'. It was a way for her to escape from the mayhem.
"I learned so much in there. It blew my mind. All you are doing is learning this technique of meditation. It was the hardest 10 days of my life. It was also the most restful 10 days." Lupita revealed.
Lupita also said that she managed to cure her insomnia whilst in Aotearoa at the retreat."It makes all the difference. Stress is what makes me an insomniac. And I'm a stress-buster, man."
