‘Ears are in heaven’: Whānau's beautiful 'Happy Birthday' song in Auckland Denny's goes viral

That last note tho, sheesh.

At Manakua Denny’s, a whānau set the bar for how ‘Happy Birthday’ should be sung.

Footage posted on TikTok by Atu Maves shows the family sitting at a long table before singing the traditional song to Charlie. And bro, their voices are angelic.

“My ears were in heaven,” the caption reads. “Still tearing up listening to it. Charlie, your family loves you. Beautifuuul.”

Commenters are in absolute awe of the whānau’s voices, seeing if they can join them or hire them for their own birthday celebrations.

“You adopting?” asked one person. “I can play the triangle.”

“Omg I need them to sing me happy birthday,” said another.

“I would download his version of the birthday song and listen to it on repeat that was flawless af bro,” a third wrote.

“Showing this to the kids so they can learn to harmonise for my next birthday.” one more said.

Another comment says that the singers are part of the Samoan Gospel Heralds, a choir that’s been around since 1972.

Last year, a group of Māori tutors also went viral for showing off their incredible voices.

Footage posted to Instagram by @nuzinator shows the large group loudly and proudly singing ‘Nei Rā Te Kaupapa’, adding some absolutely incredible harmonies with the crowd watching. Tu meke!

“What a buzz to have our elite tutors of our Māori language from New Zealand to grace us with a Waiata!!” the caption of the video reads.

Next birthday, Imma just head to Denny's and hope the bros with angelic voices are there.
