Waitangi Day is all about coming together to celebrate our nation and what better place than Waitangi Park!
Bring your friends and whanau along for kai and kapa haka at Te Rā o Waitangi.
There’s a line-up of award winning Maori performers as well as activities at the lagoon all day, starting at 10am.
The lagoon is officially named Whairepo Lagoon after the whairepo, or eagle rays, that visit at this time of year.

There is a $15 charge for Hāngi from the Karaka Café . They will be available between 10:30am and 12 noon on a first in, first served basis.
Pasifika Festival 2019

The festival highlights our tight-knit Pacific communities, our arts, cultural and political landscape and user-friendly city parks and environments. It is an opportunity for all Pacific people to celebrate and share their knowledge, values and beliefs and supports the vision that Wellington is a vibrant, creative capital.
Experience the sights, sounds and flavours of the wider Pacific right here in Wellington. There will be delicious food to buy, free family-friendly activities, and performances by traditional and contemporary Pacific artists.
