Artist paints Maori portrait on Te Awamutu cliff face

Graham Hoete has given a cliff face an actual face in his latest piece of artwork.

Tauranga's 'Mr G Hoete Art' is well known for creating incredible pieces of work and has grown a massive social media following and his latest project has fallen nothing short of amazing.

In what is believed to be the first of it's kind in Aotearoa, Mr G has spray-painted a face on a vertical cliff at Parawera, near Te Awamutu.

"It's quite unique, different and presents its own challenges, but it ended up really well and the locals are buzzing out about it." he told stuff.co.nz.

Hoete is doing 100 of these portraits nationwide as part of a book he's putting together called Mr G 100 New Zealand portraits.
