Former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate has become a hero outside the octagon after coming to the aid of six-year-old girl and her family.
While hiking the mountains around Las Vegas, Tate came across a mother struggling to carry her distressed daughter, Kai, who had broken her arm at the top of the track.
The 30-year-old didn’t hesitate in offering a helping hand to the 'meekly built' mother, taking the wounded girl in her arms and carting her the remaining 4.2km worth of trail to her vehicle, where she was whisked away to hospital for medical attention.
"I saw her meekly built mother struggling to carry her daughter down the mountain so I offered to carry the little girl to the bottom,"
"The mother asked her 6-year-old daughter 'would you rather have me or her carry you down' without hesitation (to my surprise) she quickly replied ‘I want HER to carry me.’"
