Kiwi League player protects women and children as massive brawl breaks out at game

Formers Kiwis rugby league player Junior Sa'u is making headlines after rushing to the stands at the John Smith's Stadium to protect his wife and children as a brawl broke out following the Huddersfield Giants vs. Salford Red Devils game.

The Sun newspaper reported that Sa'u and fellow team members "rushed into the stand to help their loved ones", adding ground stewards opened the overflow gates to let children to escape the chaos at the bottom of the stands.

Salford fan Lesley Kaneen, spoke to The Daily Mail about the incident and said "The wife of Junior Sa'u was in the crowd clutching her young baby to her chest and you've got these idiots behind stupid and pushing and shoving... They were a bunch of mindless idiots in the crowd who have nothing at all to do with Salford and they were out to cause trouble from the start,"
