Eminem tells Dr Dre he’s ‘speechless’ after bumping Kendrick Lamar's new album

Us too Marshall, us too

Kendrick Lamar dropped his fifth studio album 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers' on Friday, and Eminem has had the same reaction as many of us.

Tweeting earlier this morning, the rap superstar said “Yo @DrDre this Kendrick album is f****** ridiculous. I’m speechless.”

What’s interesting is that Dr. Dre has nothing to do with the album.

He does not appear on any songwriting or production credits, nor does he rap or have vocals on any song.

Dre did sign Kendrick to Interscope records back in 2012, and, most recently, the two performed together at the Superbowl halftime show, alongside Eminem and other rap legends.

So maybe Eminem is giving credit to Dre for putting Kendrick on the map. Or maybe he thinks Dre hasn’t heard the album yet and Mr. Mathers is trying to get Dre's Spoitfy game up.

Kendrick’s album is estimated to have the biggest opening week of any album so far this year, clocking in around 400 million streams in the U.S alone.
