Before his untimely passing, 2Pac was on a path of destruction, taking aim at the entire East Coast and everyone in it. His main point of focus was of course the Notorious B.I.G., but that didn't stop him from firing shots at everyone from Mobb Deep, Jay-Z and Nas.
It's often said that the East Coast were waiting for Biggie to fire back before anyone else made a move, but seen as Biggie took the much needed peaceful approach no return diss-tracks ever came to fruition.
But as a recently surfaced track suggests, Nas had a diss ready to fly at Pac for when the time came. The track, named "Real N***as", was recorded around the time Nas dropped his second album It Was Written, and features a few bars aimed at Pac.
“From tube socks in Timbs to blue rocks and Benz/Who got the ends, the type of n***a 2Pac pretends/To all n***as who shine, guess who got revenge/I won’t showboat, my flow choke you,” Nas raps before making reference to the .44 caliber pistol that became the co-star of 2Pac’s “Hit ’Em Up” diss track.
“And if it don’t the .44 will smoke you, left ya seed reminiscing on ya,” Nas continued. “Emcees, I’m pissing on ya/Shine because my chips are longer.”
You can imagine the all out carnage that would've ensued if the East Coast had responded to Pac's rampage in full, but Pac's untimely death saw hip-hop's greatest beef thankfully end prematurely.
Nas intentionally held back this track, particularly after Pac's death, but we all know how the internet works and the track has since been leaked.
