Kendrick Lamar smashes record for best hip-hop album

Headlines 01/07/2020

Kendrick Lamar has just made music charts history!

His hit album good kid, m.A.A.d city has clocked up 400 weeks on the Billboard 200. Making it the longest-charting hip-hop studio album ever.

Kendrick beat Eminem’s 2005 album Curtain Call: The Hits

His record-breaking album was released in October 2012, and was certified as triple platinum, and earned the legend four Grammy nominations.

We haven't had new Kendrick since 2017 with his album DAMN, and the wait for new music may be over soon. “Stay patient king Kendrick will return soon,” TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith hinted at last month.
