Anthony Joshua gets clowned online after previously claiming he was going to break the "Drake Curse"

The infamous "Drake Curse" has struck again! The latest victim comes in the form of Anthony Joshua, who is now the 'former' Heavyweight Champion of the World after losing to Mexican Andy Ruiz in their title bout over the weekend.

Joshua came into the fight as the heavy favourite, but was emphatically dropped four times throughout the fight, losing by TKO in the 7th after the ref called off the bout.

While the loss can be attributed to a number of things, such as poor planning or over-confidence, the real reason for Joshua's loss is simple: The Drake Curse.

Joshua linked up with the Canadian rapper back in March, posting up a picture together on IG before confidently proclaiming that he would not fall victim to the infamous curse in the caption:

Bout to break the curse

The post went somewhat un-noticed at the time, but has since resurfaced following Joshua's historic upset loss on Sunday.

Lesson to take from all of this?
