WATCH: Nick Cannon drops a new Eminem diss-track "The Invitation ft. Suge Knight"

Before the release of Fat Joe's latest project, Family Ties, the Bronx native issued a warning to fans about his collab with Eminem.

“Shout out to Eminem,” he said. “You know that boy on the album. It’s the most disrespectful song. Eminem has not rhymed like this in years.”

The disrespect he mentioned could've been aimed at a plethora of people, as Eminem has collected his fair-share of detractors over the years. But in a somewhat surprising move for casual fans, the Detroit rapper took aim at Nick Cannon, whom he has had a long standing beef with.

This was in response to Cannon alleging on an episode of T.I.'s ExpediTIously podcast that he went to Detroit to look for Em at the height of their beef. "I called managers... I gotta show my wife I'm a man," Cannon recalled to Tip. "I said, 'I know I'm not gonna be able to out rap you but I will whoop your ass.' Those were the exact words at the time. Cooler heads prevailed."

The pair have history, as Eminem once had an infamous beef with Cannon's ex-wife Mariah Carey last decade, which Eminem mentions in Fat Joe's track "Lord Above."

“I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note/But that other dude's whipped, that pussy got him neutered/Tried to tell him this chick's a nut job before he got his jewels clipped,” Eminem raps.  “Almost got my caboose kicked, fool, quit, you not gon’ do shit/I let her chop my balls off, too ’fore I lost to you, Nick.”

Taking exception to this, Cannon has now dropped his response, a Suge Knight featured diss-track called "The Invitation."

The track opens with a jail phone call with Suge Knight, who introduces the name of the song.

"Check this out Eminem, whatever your name is," Suge says. "I don't ever do no talking, but Nick is family. This your invitation to prove to everybody what you really about. Winner takes all."

Cannon then goes straight for Shady, mentioning his previous struggles with drug use:

"I told Joe to lean back, don't get hit with this retaliation," Nick said. "I fuck with Crack, but the white boy, he fuck with crack/Pills and smack/Shady about to relapse/Call Kim, somebody get Hailie/And that other kid you raising that ain't even your baby."
