WATCH: Japanese school kids welcome the All Blacks with passionate haka

Headlines 10/09/2019

The All Blacks touched down in Japan, welcomed by a sea of passionate local New Zealand fans.

The defending champions were greeted by Japanese school children, who performed a couple of songs, before breaking into their very own haka.

Typhoon Faxai delayed the All Blacks' arrival in Kashiwa by two hours, but coach Steve Hansen said the wait was worth it, given the reception they received by thousands of fans dressed in black.

"A fantastic welcome, mind-blowing really," Hansen said. "Just so many people.

"Seeing the kids and the enjoyment of their faces was really exciting.

"We look forward to having a really good week here and enjoying the people, getting some good training in."

The All Blacks play the Springboks in their opening game on September 21.
