Due to unforeseen circumstances, Migos have had to cancel their upcoming Aussie and NZ shows, which means they will no longer be performing at Bay Dreams. Cardi B ain't going anywhere though, you can still catch her being a Bronx bad b*tch on stage at both The Mount and Nelson shows!
Promoters have also just announced that human hype machine Sheck Wes will be bringing his signature aggression to the Bay stage in what promises to be one the rowdiest sets of the night.
Sheck Wes made his mark in 2017 with his smash hit ‘Mo Bamba’, which went viral. Today it boasts more than a whopping 220 million streams on Spotify. He’s not long released his album MUDBOY and Bay Dreams ticket holders at The Mount will be among the first in the world to hear the new material in the flesh.
Atlanta's very own Rich the Kid will also be making his presence known to Kiwi audiences, solidifying his place as one of the most exciting names in rap.
Bay Dreams has established itself as New Zealand’s biggest festival, selling out year after year. The event is now held across two islands, at The Mount and in Nelson, and close to some of the best beaches and holiday hot spots in the world.
The Bay Dreams celebrations at The Mount kick off on January 1 with a warm-up party featuring Shapeshifter, Mr Carmack and L.A.B before launching into the main day on January 2.
Meanwhile, in the South Island, the Nelson party gets underway on January 3 at Trafalgar Square with UK rapper Ocean Wisdom; world renowned DJs Stanton Warriors and electronic maestros Hybrid Minds, who sold out their entire previous NZ run.
The main festival day on January 4, includes Cardi B, Tash Sultana, Sticky Fingers, Peking Duk, $uicide Boy$ and Pnau. Other must-sees include Macky Gee, Katchafire, Home Brew and an array of exciting acts on the Hospital Records stage.
