Hip-hop ledge Snoop D-O-double-G is getting his own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame next week.
The 47-year-old from Long Beach will be the 2,651st person to receive their own star, during the filming of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'. He will be asked to perform master of ceremony duties (basically he will host it) by the Hollywood Walk of Fame Committee.
"Snoop Dogg is one of those people who can do anything. He raps, he acts, he hosts a television show, he cooks, and helps community kids with his philanthropic work. He is a man of the ages and we welcome him to our Hollywood Walk of Fame," says Ana Martinez, a high-ranking member of the Hollywood Walk of Fame committee.
Across his 25-year career, Snoop successfully leveraged his rap persona into a huge range of fields including films, podcasts, product placements, philanthropy and cannabis advocacy. He was even nominated for a Primetime Emmy last year for the TV show 'Martha and Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party'. The man's done a lot, so this is well-deserved.
