Philadelphia 76ers fans start petition to ban Kendall Jenner from games to stop the "Kardashian Curse"

The Phildelphia 76ers have made a fairly strong start to their NBA season, managing to stay undefeated at home so far this season. That was until they lost to the last placed Cleveland Cavaliers yesterday, going down 121-112 to a team that were winless on the road since LeBron left for LA.

Normally you'd assume that a shock loss is down to everything from having a bad game, fatigue, or a combination of both. But Philly fans believe there could be darker powers at work, after Kendall Jenner was seen sitting courtside during the loss.

Jenner has had an on-off relationship with 76ers starter and Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons for most of this year, and fans believe she has brought the famous "Kardashian Curse" on the team.

If you don't know about the "Kardashian Curse," it's a famous superstition that revolves around the idea that the Kardashian sister's partners generally experience some form of hardship during and after their relationship.

Sports stars such as Reggie Bush, Kris Humpheries, Lamar Odom, and James Harden have all had poor form and/or significant personal issues following their respective relationships with the famous family.

And now Philly fans believe the same could be happening to Simmons, even going as far as starting a petition to ban Jenner from future games to avoid loses. Almost 3000 signatures have signed the petition calling for Jenner to denied entry to Wells Fargo Centre (the 76ers home court).

“Jenner was front and centre in attendance for the Sixers loss to the worst team in the league, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Better known as the Island of Misfits toys Lebron left behind,” the petition reads.

“We as Sixers fans cannot sit idly by and let Kendall Jenner ruin what could be a truly special Sixers season by her attendance at Sixers games. We must take action. We must see that the Sixers and the Wells Fargo Centre ban Jenner."

“It is not a coincidence that the Sixers, who had started the season 10-0 at home, lost their first home game of the year the first time Jenner shows up. To make matters worse, the Cavaliers were winless on the road heading into their Black Friday matchup with the Sixers. It was inexplicable and Jenner’s detrimental behaviour is clearly to blame. To make matters even worse than worse, Jimmy Butler left this embarrassing showing with an apparent knee injury. At this point, Jenner is not only damaging the future of this franchise but the livelihood of innocent men as well …

76ers fans may have reason to believe the superstition after Tristan Thompson, partner to Khloe Kardashian, was a part of the winning Cavs team. Thompson had 18 points, 13 rebounds and a game-high plus-minus of +19 and was forced to play down a clash with Simmons at the end of the game. Khloe did not attend...
