Despite staying silent, Eminem has been very much in the public spotlight for the last couple weeks. After the rapper fired off on Kamikaze, his shots have been the hot topic of conversation, including the ones towards Machine Gun Kelly and Joe Budden.
MGK took exception to said shots and recently shared his response titled, "Rap Devil" which became the top trending video on YouTube and the number one song on iTunes charts shortly after.
The "Lose Yourself" rapper has now broken his silence on the matter in a new interview with Sway Calloway
Unfortunately, albeit intentionally, part one of the interview cut off before Eminem could answer Sway's question about his beefs with Machine Gun Kelly and Joe Budden, but the end of the video includes a preview of his answer about MGK.
The "Rap God" rapper states that his reasoning for the Machine Gun Kelly diss was "a lot more petty" than MGK's much maligned 2012 tweet about his daughter Hailie. He also confirmed rumors that he is working on a responce to MGK.
"You know you go down the wormhole of YouTube and whatever, right?" Eminem asked.
"So I see, 'Machine Gun Kelly talks about Eminem's daughter' or whatever, right? So I'm like, 'What the f**k?' I clicked on it. Then he starts doing a press run, basically, about Hailie. I'm like,
'What the f**k? Yo, my man better chill.'
So, that's not why I dissed him. The reason I dissed him is actually a lot more petty than that. Now I'm in this f**kin' weird thing, because I'm like, 'I've got to answer this motherf**ker.'"
