Kiwi teen, Mickey Serong, got a very unexpected shout out from rap mega-star Snoop Dogg recently, but it wasn't as exciting as it may first seem.
In a now-removed Instagram post, Snoop Dogg posted a screen-shot of a New Zealand phone number, and predictably, chaos ensued.
The phone number was that of 18-year-old Mickey Serong, who had to go through the intense bombardment of her phone following the post's upload.
"It was very weird, I was with my friend watching TV and all of a sudden my phone started blowing up with calls from people I didn't know," she told Newshub.
Unsurprisingly, the teen was very suspicious and refused to answer any of the calls, and was even more confused when she opened Instagram and saw her number on the rap icon's account.
The confused teen says her phone became so overloaded with attempts to contact her, she had to put it on airplane mode - sometimes receiving "three calls on top of each other" at once.
"I had a couple of people threatening me, saying 'I'm going to find you, I'm going to make you give me Snoop Dogg's number'."
Serong says she has no connection to the West Coast rapper at all, which makes the post all the more confusing.
"I liked his music when I was younger, but I'm not a massive fan, I've never really engaged with his posts much or anything."
Serong says her number was only on Snoop Dogg's account for around three hours, but in that time it amassed more than 50,000 likes and 30,000 comments.
"That's my worry - he has 26.3 million followers - all those people around the world could see my phone number," she says.
Serong still has no idea why the post appeared on the rapper's account, but she suspects the "insane" turn of events was a result of Snoop Dogg's account being hacked.
