Former New Zealander of the Year, Taika Waititi has taken a little bit of a dig at our neighbours across the Tasman in a message promoting his film in which he produced, The Breaker Upperers.
The film is hitting Aussie screens this week and Taika, being the humourous, good-natured neighbour he is got on Twitter to tell his Australian fans to go see it, but he also added in a couple classic low-blows.
"Go and see this film...it's gonna make you feel so good," he says.
"It's gonna make you feel good like all the other things that we gave to you, like pavlova and Phar Lap and Russell Crowe. Enjoy. And you're welcome."
