Sonny Bill Williams jams out to ‘Haere Mai’

Sonny Bill Williams, who has been tending to a knee injury, will take to the field in Hong Kong at the sevens just four months out from the Rio Olympics.

The two-time Rugby World Cup-winner took time out of his schedule to have some fun and lip synch ‘Haere Mai’ with his roommate, tweeting: “My roomie sure does love his music, feel like I’m at a disco #cheeeoooo”.

The Hong Kong leg is the seventh of 10 world series tournaments and the highlight of the annual sevens calendar.

SBW, along with teammates, including Liam Messam, took an exuberant pic in the stadium.

All of the ABs want to make it to Rio, New Zealand coach Gordon Tietjens told media.

"I've got 24 players that are wanting to go to Rio to be Olympians so they're not holding back. They're fighting for positions to go to Rio so it really makes it very competitive amongst the squad that I have."

Fiji are favourites in Hong Kong but players have been affected on a personal level with cyclone Winston, which killed 44 people in February and left their country with a food shortage and five per cent of the population without a roof over their heads.
