This year Mai are celebrating Matariki kī Pōneke 2018 alongside Wellington City Council with many unique, extraordinary experiences. Matariki is a time of celebration when people gather to share food, rituals, entertainment, hospitality and knowledge.

Ahi Kā: Wellington's waterfront will host an incredible event for the whole family, there's something for everyone! Including, our first ever festival of fire and light, celebrating renewal and belonging.
There will be poi workshops where you can learn how to make and use poi, toast marshmallows with the kids & hear our people tell their stories!

Wellington's Sky Show: Our spectacular Matariki finale, the sky will be lit up with beautiful fireworks.
