Nickson really brought Ne-Yo's Good Man lyrics to life.
“There's a line in that song where you're like, ‘I'm having a meeting with Obama. We’re talking business, but I’m going to tell him to hold up because I’m going to pick up the call from you’ right?” Nickson on Ne-Yo’s song Good Man.
“That happens to me in real life” Nickson added.
Nickson was talking to the Prime Minister when he had to put him on hold, because his wife was calling him at the same exact time.
“I was like me and Ne-Yo, we’re like brothers. Same same” Nickson said.
“Wowww did you tell her that?” Ne-Yo asked.
“I told her. I said, I put the Prime Minister on hold so I could pick this up. And all she wanted to know was what was for dinner and when’s her car ready,” Nickson said, which got Ne-Yo cracking up.
“I'm absolutely looking forward to it. It’s going to be a fantastic show. I’ve heard nothing but good things up until now for the last time I was there, I had a great time, and I was looking forward to another great time’.
The crew asked if he had a favourite song to perform live from his whole catalog which got Ne-Yo thinking - it’s probably like choosing your fav kid/ parent.
“Wow favourite? That’s a good question,” Ne-Yo said.
He then continued as he tried to choose his fav song: “So sick always gets an amazing response, which I'm eternally grateful for. Beyonce’s Irreplaceable always gets a really, really great response. And Time Of Our Lives always gets a really, really great response. Man it’s really hard to pick a favourite because every song has its own little moment”.
Tbh if it's real difficult for us to choose our favourite Ne-Yo song, it’s going to be way harder for him to select his.
