As the official NZ Music Month has come to a close, the votes are in for NZ's official unofficial national anthem.

The poll was started by NZ Herald and included 13 options for punters to choose from including Slice Of Heaven by Dave Dobbyn, Why Does Love Do This To Me by The Exponents and Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House.

7000 people voted in total, and it was the mighty Poi E that came out on top by none other than the South Taranaki, Patea Maori Club.
