Watch how the crowd responds to Harry Styles singing 'Tūtira Mai Ngā Iwi' at his Auckland gig

Harry knows what the people want.

Harry Styles performed at Tāmaki Makaurau's Mount Smart last night, and to kick things off he led the crowd in a singalong to 'Tūtira Mai Ngā Iwi'.

Harry began the show with 'Music For a Sushi Restaurant' and an enthusiastic "Kia Ora Auckland!" which prompted a huge cheer, but things really levelled up when he called out: "Tūtira Mai Ngā Iwi."

The massive crowd at Mount Smart didn't hesitate to launch into the iconic waiata, creating absolute scenes captured by fans filming from the back of the stadium. What a moment for Kiwi Harries everywhere!

"It's much longer than I expected!" Harry said as the song finished.

The One Direction star also confirmed he did fill out the New Zealand Census, which everyone in the country on Tuesday night was required to do.

"Did everyone do the census thing?" he asked. "I've done it, I think."

"As long as we're all accounted for we can continue," he says. "Otherwise, we have to stop the show and fill out the paperwork."

Harry seemed to perform far above what people thought he would be like - probably due to all the mana Mount Smart produces being home to the Warriors and all #itsouryear.

"Harry Styles blew my expectations out of the water in Auckland last night," one tweet said. "He’s a legit superstar with proper stage presence and put on one hell of a good show."
