The Linwood Youth Festival Experience (LYFE) is back in 2017 for its 18th year running.
LYFE is a not-for-profit community event run by local youth with the support of local community organisations, schools, churches, cultural groups, students and volunteers. LYFE is about celebrating youth pride, diversity and youth achievement within the Linwood community.
We have loads of activities, performers, education stalls and food lined up, and just to add to the fun, the theme is CARNIVAL. Best of all - it is a FREE event! There is so much to do on the day it’s hard to list them all! Some of the performers include Whenua Patuwai, Elly and SWARM dance crew, local band Fuzhun, and Linwood College Pasifika and Filipino performances, just to name a few.
There is also a chance to meet the Canterbury Rams, join in on carnival activities, win prizes and get information from the likes of University of Canterbury, Ara, NZIS and Te Wananga o Aotearoa, plus so much more.
