Congrats to all these roopu especially Muriwhenua who are back in a boig way, and the new kids on the block "Te Whare o Puhi" from the Hokianga who ripped it up. Te Pu Ao, solidifying there place as top contenders and Hatea still holding the regins.

I thought they were AWWWWSUM!! It was well worth the venture to Kensington Stadium. I have to say, performances by Hatea and Muriwhenua were both moving and beautiful. I was soo pleased that Muriwhenua decided to form their group hailing from the Far North after many years. I couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of love and peace when they announced Muriwhenua were able to take the 'Te Rarawa' trophy back home. Such a pleasure to be part of one of the wonderful Nga puhi events that gather whanau from all over the motu to enjoy such glorious and uplifting talent, where we as a people can be one in heart, might, mind and spirit. My love to all those who made it possible.........
Naaku noa
Apikera Thomas and whanau.
